SCREAM at the Eden Project
Photograph of the happy couple… no not really. I did a really fun job for the Eden Project last night, They had a Halloween special in the rain forest bio-dome. Groups of 13 people (unlucky for some) toured in the dark through the dome at its most frightening. It was really scary actually. The noise and soundtrack of the PA system coupled with very scary monsters hiding in the dark made for a truly Blaire Witch meets the jungle experience. Photographically it was a real challenge, It was pitch black, so i couldn’t see my camera or flashes, my lenses kept fogging up in the humidity of the dome and i was under strict instructions not to ruin the scare factor of the experience so was asked to be invisible and unobtrusive! It was basically the most challenging assignment i’ve had, but once my eyes had adjusted to the dark, it really was a lot of fun. Thanks to Nikon’s CLS system, 3 SB 800 flashes and Joe McNallie’s book the ‘Hot Shoe Diaries’ i feel i got some great shots, check them out..
