Kids Portraits

Babies and Children grow up really fast.  As they discover the world around them they are fascinated and fascinating.  As a parent myself I am constantly mesmerised by my daughter.  I love to take pictures of her, as my camera remembers everything, her expressions her mood and her character.  These are the moments that I know I can never replay so the photographs act to cement my memories.

If you would like beautiful natural photographs of your baby, toddler or child I can help.  I offer a simple photography service where I capture relaxed natural, images of your children in a fun and unobtrusive manner.  These images will be treasured for a lifetime and each photograph is truly unique freezing and archiving precious moments of a child’s life.

How the portrait sessions work

We often meet in the morning after breakfast at the planned location, this could be at  your favorite beach, park, garden or at home.  I have found that this time of day works well for children they have lots of energy and enjoy playing and socialising at this time.  The morning also offers good lighting conditions for photography.  Capturing real moments means allowing children time to play with little direct photographic direction. Natural photo opportunities evolve naturally.  Children have little patience when it comes to standing in front of a camera and saying cheese, and therefore that type of approach rarely bears much fruit.  I prefer to build a rapport and let nature takes its course.

Things to do at the beach - Bring a bucket and spade, a beach ball, build a sandcastle collect shells, play peek a boo in the dunes.  These activities are fun and photogenic.

Things to do in the garden - build a den with cardboard boxes, play on the swings,do  rolly pollys, jump on the trampoline, play Hide and Seek or  what time is it Mr wolf?

These sessions last an hour or two and are great fun for kids and parents alike!

After the shoot

I go to work preparing the images for you to view, i can create Black & white and colour proof images for you to see and make your selection from.

Cost

The sittings are £100 BUT with each sitting comes a free £50 credit against any images you buy.

Products

I do offer Prints in frames, Canvases and my own signature float laminates. I also create Contemporary Photobooks if you would like this type of product.

You can also purchase a CD with all the images in high resolution for you archives.
